Title: New brush
Post by: MNWC on April 17, 2007, 06:44:21 pm
Ordered new brush last week from cleaning spot

Came saturday

OH NO ITS GOT PENCIL JETS IN IT

used it yesterday and today

What a difference much much much better than spray jets which i have used for the last year or so

if anyone is using spray jets convert them know you wont regret it

they are so much easier to control when rinsing

I would recommend pencil jets to any newbie to the wfp.
My first jets were pencil and like you said control is in your hands but the pencil make it so easy.

I found the same.

I thought Fan jets would rince better with less quantity and more preasure.

Yes, that's true but with my backpack you need to turn up the flow in order to get fans to work.  Then teh tend to spray all over the place  :(

I find 2 pencil jets with a nice steady FLOW of water down the glass rinces off the dirt lovely 8) 8)

Sorry I dont agree, I bought one of Gaz's brushes & it came with pencil jets in it, now I'm used to fan sprays so I thought well lets give them another try & jees it takes me longer to do a window with them, also my wife used it today for the first time and within 5 mins she told me to take that awful brush off her pole and put a "proper brush on it" now dont get me wrong the brush is really good I like the brush but I'll be putting fan sprays back in it

do you have a varistream chris ?

because if you turn the flow down the pencils work just as quick as the fans

I've only been wfp for 13 weeks spent money on Fan jet Vikans as I thought that they would be best.
After 6 weeks went to a pencil jet Vikan and found it much better.
Then 4 weeks ago got the cleaning spot brush, so much better than vikan for frames and bird's muck.  It doesn't leave pink marks on the frames and you don't bang the upstairs ledge.
Ordered two of Gaz'z swivel brushes and still waiting for them to turn up.
At this rate I'll have tried all the brushes around in the first 6 months.  I don't understand why people use and recommend vikan brushes for window cleaning though in comparison to the cleaning spot brush they are rubbish, good for con roofs, car and caravan cleaning but rubbish for windows.  In my humble opinion from a 13 week old wfper.

Simon.

Hi David....

i try number 2 with wash and 3 with rinse...

sometime get away with scrubbing on number 1 , risnse on number 2.

Does it have the same thread as a vikan?
