Title: RO AND DI SET-UP QUESTION
Post by: qwert on April 11, 2007, 06:08:12 pm
What would you guysrecommend with this:

Can you split the RO outlet so some is used for Domestic and also WFP container??? I want to get the most out of thr RO hence looking at the split option.

Where best to fit the DI.  After RO so 100% water feeds into static container or in Van so water comes out pure at point of use.

When you say for domestic, do you mean for drinking water?

If so, I wouldn't want to drink it. But yes, you could put a hoselock splitter in after the R.O. but before the DI.

I have my DI set up in the garage, so all the water goes into my IBC tank. Then I pump it from there into my van , as and when I need it.

Cheers Jon

Thanks John

I meant for washing but is this a waste of time?? ie no benefit as I have a WS for domestic use anyway.

I was going to have the DI after RO as you do so 100% pure is in static tank but why do so many have the DI in the van??  Is it just down to differnt views and no real reason behind it??

I think that may be because they only run a DI system , due to living in a soft water area. So they just fill there van tank straight from the tap and purify it on demand.

OK Thanks.  I'll stick with going for first option of 100% pure water into Static tank.

Thanks
