I've quoted for a job and got it £320 ;D
now how would you guys go about cleaning the cladding this is my 1st one i want to get it right :)

We pre-spray with a TFR and then agitate with a brush.
Rinse off with Pure Water.
Does the job, no complaints.

Thanks trevor
how do you get TFR up that high mine only sprays about 4 ft

Put sildenafil citrate in the mix - that should get it higher! ;D

i dont believe some people how do you price for a job that you have no idea how to do you should have done your research before putting the price in.
-
We use a hand pump rentakill backpack that has an extended lance on it, we can reach approx 40 ft and if any higher we change to a stand alone 60psi pump that is seperately fitted to our bulkhead in our vans.
I have to say, it is harder than it looks and the results are sometimes variable so i hope you have priced your job with this in mind?

I was asked about the job, i priced it to do wfp looked at it thought it would take about a day and a half did my homework on what chemicle i could use then just this morning they phoned and asked to bring the price down a touch to which i did (i did mention i had not done this type of thing b4) some people use a jet wash i was just asking trevor perry So stick that in your pipe and smoke it!

You've taken a gamble here and will be learning on the job, best of luck to you, it will broaden your experience, and even if you have under priced it, I doubt you will lose more than a single day or do...
It's only labour afterall.
The forum is great for advice, but sometimes there can be so many conflicting opinions it can be hard to sort out which bit of advice is the most specific for your particular circumstances.
Be sure to let us all know how you get on with this job...

007 when i stated a person should do research before putting the price in i wasnt saying it to be nasty or negative rather to save people time and money, some types of cladding can be extremely difficult to clean and needs both a strong chemical agitation and then a powerwash rinse also the chemical should always be applied from the base to the top reason being if applied from top the run marks can come cleaner than the rest of the job and it will look terrible, you did right by telling them you had not done this type of work before but a good idea would have been to ask to do a sample area this way they could see the results they would get and you would have an idea of how long the job would take and what to charge.
good luck with the job and please let us know if it was more difficult than you thought it would be ps comments like stick it in a pipe and smoke it arent really needed .

Isnt everything about learning on the job i had only read on here about wfp but i went out and bought all the gear 1st job took me 2hrs now the same job takes me 25 mins nobody showed me i just got on with it. Now i've been 14months wfp and not had a single complaint. I'm quite good a pricing okay so i've cocked up once or twice but doesnt everyone. I think you just have to jump and go for it, you will never get anywhere in life if we dont take a chance.
I would like to appoligise about my outburst last night Mr Perry was having a little disagrement with my wife
