do not even try to clean windows with wfp if the sea spray can get anywhere near them.
today I tried to clean some harbourside flats wfp and the result is not good. I spent over an hour cleaning and rinsing three small flats, before giving up and reaching for the fairy.
have any of you seen what sea salt does when it meets wfp?

Should be some interesting results at the Blackpool show if they do the outside demo's with a north sea breeze blowing..

I have posted from time to time about wfp and the salt from the sea.
Each time I was assured that WFP can cope with anything.
I know exactly what you are talking about. 2 years on of using WFP, it does not do a good job right next to the coast. It does not get salt and chalk/sand off windows in the same way that a mop and squeegie does.
Sometimes after a storm, it's almost like you need something abrasive to break though the layer of salt. A brush head and water doesn't touch it. Sea salt and chalk/sand dries like concrete on glass.
The first time you go over the glass with a mop is like you are breaking the ice. It takes a fair bit of elbow grease to break what's on the glass and you can hear the change in the sound and feel the difference as the salt breaks up with a mop. With wfp, all you get is white streaks as the window dries no matter how much water is used. Inland a short way and it's a different story.
Sorry, but that is my experience.

we do quite a bit of work right on the north coast (northern Ireland) on the Atlantic coast - never had a problem using wfp, results always perfect.

I've no idea why where I live is different. It just is. ??? I'd love to know the answer. It'd save me time and earn me more money.

I clean window`s 100yrds from the sea and don`t get problems,if it`s blowing a gale it`s gonna put salt straight back on the glass you can`t help that.I just turn the flow up a bit and scrubb more than usual it normally does the trick, when it`s weather like it has been sunny with no wind i don`t seem to have any problems.
