Title: Help Urgently Required (Bloo Loo)
Post by: Cleaning Services on August 27, 2004, 01:52:12 pm
Hi everyone,

Can anyone give me any advise on how to get Bloo Loo out of a carpet.
One of my cleaners has put the top of the cistern on incorrectly, therefore the toilet has been flushing all night overflowing and releasing the damn stuff all over a customers carpet.

Any help on this matter would be gratefully appreciated.

Having the dye all over is one thing but what about the water damage that the building has sustained.  Red RX may work but may not be strong enough to do the job.

Many of us here in the states will mix up a batch of 30 volume hydrogen peroxide in equal porportions of pure non sudsing ammonia.  Spray this mixuture on the dye and you can accelerate this with a steam iron.  Many like to cover the area with a piece of plastic to keep the vapors concentrated on the discoloration itself.

If the carpet is saturated, chances are that the dyes have not set yet.  Keep flushing until nothings releases and then try the mixture described.  Do NOT put this mixture into a sealed container.  You will blow the top off.

I had this very problem a few months back, only the toilet had been leaking for ages. What a nightmare, it took forever. Although I presprayed with solutions the blue just kept on coming, and coming.
Left a slight mark in the end.
All the waste water was blue as well.
