for a rough estimate...........find out how much it is worth,,,,,and about 10% of value......................unless its an ikea special.......then charge what time it takes you!!

The 10% rule, is one of the first things I learned when starting up, but with so many cheap rugs around, it's no use for rugs...........

Also, rugs take a lot more time and effort to clean, compared to fitted carpets...............beware !!!!!!!

Depends where you are in the country but south east area I'm charging iro £50 per metre for wool rugs and around £20 for synthetic.

10% sounds a good rule but difficult to implicate.  Not just the cheep rugs but you will strugle to get 10%  of rugs that have their worth above and beyond the 30 and 40,000's.

Alan has a good idea of £50 a meter for good rugs and 20 for not so good ones.

Best, Dave.
