i was just thinking the other day, (i know and it hurt a lot) if i had work from the local council for floor sanding, i could approach them with a reduced rate but exclusivity on their floor sanding in schools for three years, do you thing they would go for it.

hi there

i would fully expect that, floor work in the local schools is on an approved cntractor listing, or even an OJEC.

regards

Jonny,

Target schools individually with direct sales letters. You could also target nurseries, churches, community centres etc.... basically anywhere that you think might have hard floors.

primary schools mostly are dished out as one big contract per county council,
secondry schools seem to have free run to employ who they like ;D

You forgot to mention that generally council contracts can only be won if your willing to work for small profits and they don't like paying on time  >:(

Wouldn't touch a school with a bargepole.  Worst payers, worst moaners, worst everything :D

Seriously, I have no idea how anyone services school contracts at a profit unless they are employing illegals at sub-minimum wage.
