How much would you charge to clean the carpets of 860 square foot flat, 30 foot reception, 1 double bedroom one single room and a long hall way. All replies are welcome the quote is for a Central London flat I know they charge a bit less in the North of England and counties surrounding London. Your insight would be appreciated Thank you all Please give me your quotes no mater where in the UK you are!
Happy Easter ;D
-
based on the 860 sqv ft that you've listed, i'd charge about £318.20.
-
Thank you Charlie, Anymore for Anymore?
-
Work out how long it will take then what you want pe hr ;D
-
Dave P, why charge per hour when you can get a lot more per job i.e. I charge £15-£20 per hour finish the job in 3 hours £45-£60 quid, I charge the same person for the same job, but quote them for the job £250 -£300 which they are happy to pay. why charge per hour? Out of interest how much do you charge per hour? ;)
-
If it will take you 3 hrs then you are getting £80 per hr? I dont tell the custy what i want per hr. I only do residential at the mo and aim for £35-£40 per hr from arriving to leaving.
-
i would say about £200 at tops it may be less when seen
-
Cheers Guys for help hope you all have a good day!
Thank you Dave P ;)
-
Is it empty? Can't believe no-one else has asked. This means there is no furniture to move. If so you should be able to do that in 2 hours max (and that includes hand scrubbing all the pre spray in). blimey, even in SW1 £200 should be tops (unless its sisal or something like that).
-
Even in Northumberland, if my calculations are correct 860 ft equal about 100 yd2 (near enough) you'd be looking at around £200 + vat
-
thats if you r vat registered!!
i would work out how long i think it would take me to do the job multiply by my hourly rate then add 1 hour for good measure( they always take longer than you think! ;)
plus any parking charges or in your case congestion charge
goodluck
hope this helps
-
Thamks Spindal K, the property was empty took me less than 2 hours to complete as well thanks you all again for your help. I have just recently ventured into the CC business from contract cleaning! Still have a lot to learn! :D
-
i think your all underpricing yourselves for the service you privide! i'd have no quarms about charging £318.20. put yer prices up lads!!!!!!!
-
£318 for 2 hours work? Crikey can i have a days training with you!
-
I couldn't do that volume of work in two hours or less :-[ to the standards I work to
-
are those figures correct, a hallway, double bed and single bed, 86 square metres? where do those sizes work out. even a large bedroom would be 25 sq mtrs
-
we would say £200/£250 max but when empty you can fly round jobs,so may want to go with £200 :-\ or £175 :-\
-
Cheers guys your stars have a good week.
M ;) ;D 8)

-
terry, hi i paid about £12- years ago for mine, its made by stanley, they make tape measures & stanley nives etc. any hardware store would sell them. alltec do a lazer measurer, but i think its a tad expensive! regards char..... Man Utd fer the treble!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
so this is just about 80 square metres...charge £2.50 per square metre and that is £200
about the size of 4 lounges...(5m x 4m)
-
£340 (or thereabouts) plus congestion charge etc.
As it's Central London they can certainly afford that sort of money.
If it's above the second floor I'd charge even more. It's also worth checking your insurance. I think mine specifically excludes working above the forth floor.

For anyone living in the South, 'In-Excess' are doing ultrasonic JCB measures for about a fiver:
www.in-excess.co.uk
All I'd say is phone before going as being a surplus store they tend to sell out of things very quick.
