Title: quote for a nursing home
Post by: JJdomestics on April 03, 2007, 05:29:54 pm
Hi everyone,

Sorry I haven't been on for a while but things have been busy. I have been asked to quote for cleaning a 21 roomed nursing home. This is by far the biggest job I have been asked to do and I was just wondering if anyone had any advice for me. For example has  anyone else done this line of work before and have they had any problems? Any imput would be great

Thanks

Jo

hi there,

ok, you need a copy of the current spec.

then you need to cost a single room, times by 21
and then you need to look at the communal areas.

total number of hours divided by 2 equals number of 2 hour shifts required to achieve the work

regards

martin

Hi,

Bear in mind that Nursing Home clients may be incontinent and there may be stubborn stains to clean.

Hi Jo
I would price like what Martin suggests, I have done a few of these now, be care full not to not under price the job, and put a price on per hour for re cleans. I did one of this size about 8 weeks ago and charged £1400 plus vat. and sent 1 cleaner 1 extra day for £85. with nursing homes they are all done now to the same or similar spec, all with a bathroom/shower with each room, if it is all tiled its a nightmare if the tiler has left a lot of grout on. I finally found the best way of removing this, that worked for me. let me know if you get the job and I will email you. cheers Phil
