Title: Water Meters

 Water meters and hard water.
In and around Wolverhampton the water can vary from soft to quite hard depending which part of town you’re in.
Where I live the water tends to be softer than 4 miles across town, so when ever possible I fill up at home if I know I’ll be working in a hard water area.
If and I say this with tongue in cheek I was on a water meter I would still fill up at home rather than suffer the consequences of what hard water will do to my machine.
In other words I’d rather pay for my water than have the ball ache of  running de scaler though the heat exchangers every week. Besides on an average week I will only use around 3 cubic mtrs of water.

Unlike my mate Phil who only uses one :'(

Dave, why not put in a water softener on board.  Always have it then if you need it or not, best, Dave.

Listen mate, I emptied the River Thames last year! :P

The water is so hard around here I descale myself after a bath! :)

I thought about fitting one but the size of me van restricts me.
besides Its nice to come home at lunch time and collect all the cheques the posties left me.
its great running a T/M ;D

Fair enough but mine is smaller than a standard air mover, maybe you could put one where a passenger would sit........ Best, Dave.  P.S. Wouldnt run anything else.

Not worth the bother I work 5 miles radias of my house.
I was thinking of buying a bigger machine and more hoses so I could leave the machine at home on the drive and carry the hoses to the job ;D

how much would it cost to put a water conditioner on board??

i am having one fitted to the house........got new boiler and rads so i will put conditioner .........i live in a very hard water area

reason.....washing machine,dishwasher, will become f***** ...it is cheaper to put a conditioner in than to replace appliances!! :o

Your dead right mate if the water in my home was hard I'd be looking to fit a water softner system to save on the my white goods.
