Post by: cactus11 on April 01, 2007, 10:57:31 pm
Does anyone know the best way to pre heat the water on the thermo pure system it seems to take forever. Its no good using the diesel heaters as theres two of us using the system.Plus you dont really get hot enough water doing it this way either!!!!

ionic say that it only takes the time you get to your next job to pre heat the water however this is not the case. Ive tested the time to preheat and it takes 10 hours,if had a job in the highlands this would be perfect, unfortunately all my work is local!!!!

Did you buy this system from IONICS directly or second hand ?.
Cause if I had bought directly from them id be straight back to
them so that they could demonstrate this to me personally.
It could be that your system isnt setup corectly, they would surely be
able to sort this out for you. If not them I would kick up hell, their
systems are expensive and must do what they claim and I wouldnt
leave their premises until they got it working right.
If you dont have the time to visit them, ask for the telephone number
of a company using this system and ask them if they are having the same
problems and how they got round this.

Or you could just give ionic a ring on 0845 22 66 002 and explain the problem to them.  I'm sure they'll sort it out for you

Sounds like something is wrong? I turn mine on (only for first cleans and conservatories) when i get in the van in the morning, drive to the customers house and by the time i have got there the water is normally warm, about 15-20 mins after turning heater on. After about an hour, the water is steaming hot!!

I've not seen a hot system in action but do they clean any better?

In the winter when it's cold, can the hot water crack the glass?

You should call ionic as the advice you need will vary depending on the age of your system. We preheat to about 40 degrees. This cleans brilliant and doesn't take too long.

when you pre heat steve how long does it take to warm the whole tank to 40 degrees because as i mentioned earlier to heat my tank to that temp it takes 10 hours. ive even gone to the trouble of insulating my tank which has brought the pre heat down to 5 hours but this still is an inconvienient time as this is a strain on the battery depite being plugged into the mains on charge at the same time. Our ionic system is 2 years old so quite recent or have they brought out something better.
