Title: Insurance

I have just been informed that my insurance policy does not cover tools and equipment kept in the van on the front drive from 9pm - 6am. I am also informed that the cost of cover would be prohibitive ie: £750 with a £5000 excess!!!! Has anyone solved this problem. I have no garage.

I haven't insured my equipment for many years.  Premiums were getting very expensive, & when I checked the small print I found it was only covered in a locked van in a locked garage.

Not worth the paper it was printed on!

Guess I've been lucky so far! never had anything stolen,  but I've probably saved more than enough money by now to replace anything that was.  I don't carry any property belonging to clients!
