I have been asked to clean a rug for a customer and they state that it is a 'pokora' rug (spelling may be a bit wrong).
Tested it and it reacts like a natural fibre, but want to make sure that I clean it correctly.
Anyone heard of this type/make please?
And how should it be cleaned (can it be hwe, or does it have to be dry cleaned)?
Thanks in advance.

Pohara , i think is the correct spelling ,
and is 100% N Zealand lambs wool , Im not to sure but i believe they are all hand knotted and made , so I would treat as wool, bearing in mind , of course all the usual tests for migration etc. as they are quite a bright coulered rug with vivid colours.
my bro has one that i cleaned with no probs.

Ps quite expensive if some thing goes wrong though ;)

;D
Or Bukhara even,
Usualy Pakistani copies of original.
Test for colour fastness clean using wool safe only in the usual manner if tests ok,
Charge accordingly.
