Tucker. I've busted universal, extender, multipole, fishing pole superlights etc.
Tucker pole from usa cost the same in dollars as in pounds here, so for the price of a new predator you could have an 18ft( called the 20ft cos of the reach) tucker with the best brush and option to use soap for first cleans etc.
www.squeegees.net - remember, it's more than half price because there's no vat in usa. the price difference is huge and they are tough, they weigh about the same as a universal at 18ft - but higher they start to weigh a lot less than universal poles.

but higher they start to weigh a lot less than universal poles.
They also bend a lot more at height.

don't buy a high one. Carbon for high, tucker for low. More low stuff so tougher pole.

5 months! you were lucky, my predator only lasted 4 months :( they are rubbish, and so is the customer care from brodex! >:(
-
What happened to it? I've got an 18' and I've had it since November. Only problem so far, the top clamp doesn't grip anymore. Solution? - cut a slice of each of the cheeks of the clamp so it closes down further and grips.
When it starts slipping again I'll make up a steel collar to fit round the clamp with a steel cam on it - that will make the b****r grip.
The plus is that it's light - I use it on everything, no need for a short pole for ground floors.
Cheers,
Ian

Ian, the pole snapped in half, both the clamps came away from the pole, and brodex were no help at all. :(

Yep, and its still cheaper and you often get away with it. Sometimes they just deliver and say nothing. Take the chance.

Can you get an 18ft facelift ? and if so is it lighter than an 18ft extender, even though i do find the extender to be light i am still suffering with my aches in the middle of my arm or is there another pole that is lighter.
