Hi all,I have a van mount using a 60psi pump.
Iv been using this for 2 years now with no problems :)
I have just swapped my normal half inch hose over to microbore.
The loss of pressure is bloo d y massive ???
By the time the water comes out of the brush its just a trickle ???
There are no blockages or kinks in the hose.
Any ideas what can be done guys or gals.
Thanks
Pete

you need a 100psi for microbore...60psi will not cut it...also make sure you have 8mm microbore and not 6mm as this will be no good at all whatever the size pump you use.

Oh dear its 6mm.
So are you saying even an 100 psi wont do the job.
??? ???

I cant believe that nobody has ever mentioned the fact that 6mm microbore is no good ::)

I have 60psi pumps and run 6mm microbore
no problems at all

Do you have a varistream ? If so, It sounds like this will need adjusting.
Cheers Jon

6mm is good i have been using it for over a year now with a 100psi sureflo pump with no problems whatsoever.
I get a flow rate of about 2 litres a minute which is good enough for me.
Just make sure the microbore is the one with the clear rubber inner piece as opposed to the thin white plastic inner.
where did you get it from ?
If it is the good 6 mm i might swap it for my 8 mm which i got talked into buying, which i hate , tooo heavy compared to 6mm

2 litres per minute :o :o :o :o
I think I may have been using too high a flow rate in the past ::)
What I am calling a trickle is actually about 3 ltrs per minute :o
It may simply be the case that I am over reacting because this new flow rate feels so slow to me.I am used to hearing and feeling the water spray hard onto the glass whereas this just seems to trickle onto it in comparison ::)
I will wait and see what the results are like :)
Thanks for the comments guys :)

if you change your jets in the brushes for smaller ones this can give the feeling of more pressure and seems to rinse better too.
