hi i had a nissan vannette last year i had a 650ltr tank fitted which worked fine so i'd guess a 400ltr would be fine the payload is 950 on the van i had

thanks for tartan. the one im looking at is 2.3 cargo.

sounds like the same van though it was a thirsty beast ! did no better than 30mpg

I had one. Very thirsty though.
I just had a 250l lay flat in mine. Im sure it would take a 400. Anything higher than that would be close to going over the pay load.
The 2 side loading doors are great!!!! Take the hose out of either.
Engine under the seat is a pain.
Overall not a bad van.
I got a transit swb now with a 650l upright tank. Only 1 side door :'(

try a toyota hi ace. Bit pricey but theyre good on diesel, never go wrong and the swb has a payload of 1050kg, which is bigger than a transit, in a smaller van
