just be aware that when you quote, he may then go to the other quoter and say: "I have just been quoted £1350..if you can go £150 lower, the job is yours..!"

I did a quote yesterday, total of £700 for detached house, "large"
she had three quotes in total, of which I was unaware, she asked me if I would clean a settee and armchair in with the price, if so the job was mine. Why not ,i thought a couple of extra hours wont make a vast difference for a large job, and she was pleasant, chatty and was potentionaly a repeat custy.
booked the work in, thats when she informed me about the other quotes :) Chem dri was one, of which she was not immpressed, the other I will not mention on here :-X
so in my opinion it is worth throwing in a little extra or a little discount on large jobs to attain the work,so a cut of £150 on £1,500 , your hardly losing money are you? unless of course its such a fine margin already.

You are in business to make money.............so is the other company and anyone else who might have quoted..............but, do you think anyone else would consider YOU when quoting for work............don't think so !
Doing additional work, is a guaranteed way of getting referrals, IMO !
