 1 small room office
 1 bathroom
 Stairs and balcony around

    "Downstairs"

 1 dining room
 Large hallway
 1 bathroom

There is too 26 windows small glasses range from 9 to 20 each window
and 7 doors with small glasses too,to be clean inside.

This is a mix of builders clean and domestic clean the property
 has been part refurbished.
The owner wants a complete clean including furniture, wardrobes etc,
  completely everything.
Some bedrooms are fill up of staff that has to be removed to do the clean.

Hi

would you consider sub contracting it?

Best guess without looking at it would be 4 cleaners for three days at 8 hours per cleaner per day = 96 hours x £15.00 per hour = at least £1500

Sounds about right pdl.

We had a similar property just before Christmas.
Converted farmhouse - fairly large property.

We Quoted £1,322.00.

How we did it:

We offered a quote for a 'build' clean and a seperate 'Sparkle' clean. Then we offered a discount for a 'combination' clean.

Build clean:    £960.00
Sparkle:         £490.00
Total:             £1,450.00

Combination: £1,322.00
Discount:       £128.00

They liked the discount idea, and we got the contract.

Never mention 'hourly' rates to the client, but it took 3 cleaners 1.5 days. We told them an estimate of 2 days work - but not how many cleaners, so the client is happy when you finish early! (so long as you do it right, of course)

36 hours = £36.72 p/cleaner/hour! (less costs and travelling time etc.)

(BTW, you have to explain that you don't clean furniture on a build clean - only a sparkle clean or the combination clean)

It's all about professionalism, quality and a bit of psychology.

Hope this helps - and good luck

Figures in excess of £1000 seem over the top.

Especially if your quoted price/actual hours worked comes out at £36plus

Good luck to you if you can get it but at those prices I would expect to lose more than I win.

Depending on where you are based £15 hour is a reasonable rate but possibly on the low side for London/South East

With this kind of cleaning, you go and survey, quote and wait till they are ready.
Invariably, you return to clean and another removal van full of furniture has be put in the house. Or there are still trades that you have to clean around, and they have made a mess.

The job could have taken 4 cleaners 2 days. That would then be more like your price, coming in at about £20.00 per hour. But it didn't and maybe we were lucky. The client was happy, the builder's that paid us were happy - and we have done more for them since!

Anyone that cannot secure these kind of jobs, at that kind of money is doing something wrong.

But the point is: never underestimate the time it may take, use caution and price sensibly.
You are in business to make a profit, or you may as well work for someone else who does.

MXG,

My best guess was without seeing the property, it may take 64 hours, there again, it may take longer.

Good afternoon,

I could do the carpets but not the windows as i am not insured for external work.
I am booked in for next week but can do it in the first week of April.
