Hi All

Any ideas on what type of glue to use on these.

I think the majority of carpet fitters when laying tile use a tackifier adhesive, they normal have idustrial tubs but if you need to restick i think they sell it by the can, not sure where you get it from tho.

Just use double sided carpet tape. Then you haven't got the risk of getting the glue onto the surrounding tiles which believe me is quite easy. You can buy it in B & Q in the flooring section. It is very strong.

Just nip into your nearest carpet shop and get a can of carpet srpay the fitters use.
I carry one in my van as it comes in handy for carpet tiles.
It is a quick drying super strengh adhesive they use.

Neil, I am sure all the above would stick the tiles down but if they have come off because of the machine I would use something like F60 which is a very strong contact adhesive. Best, Dave.

Cheers all

Where can I get this From ?

Neil, look up on the web Ball adhesives and it will take you to all sorts of glues, best, Dave.
P.S. Even though F41 is the more correct adhesive I would still use F60 as it is so much stronger which I gather you need for this application......

Spray adhesive is actually a form of contact adhesive so i would stick to that , just spray the floor and the back of the tiles , leave for about 30 seconds(more of less dependant on conditions) put in place and beleive me it won' t move so make sure you get it right first time .
You would be suprised at how many contract instillations of tiles are still still loose laid in the traditional manner , after a few months they create their own suction to the floor, usually its not a problem exept in areas like in the above . :)

Hi
The advesive won't cost you much dependant on how much you use ,
I reckon the services of a proffesional Flooring contractor for this type of repair workwould demand a fee of say £25 - £40/hour ,
Spray adhesive approx £2/tin , if you go down the ball's road then you would have to buy a complete jar , normally 5lts or 15ltr and to be honest you would use hardly any of it , unless you know of a fitter who would sell you a quater of a bucket for a bit of cash.
