Title: Alltec Chemicals
Post by: Geoff Jewkes on March 15, 2007, 10:00:43 pm
Went to the show yesterday and picked up a sample pack of Alltecs ultimate master. I did a 4 bed house today with it ( 80 / 20  wool ) and I must say I got really impressive reuslts. Does anyone else use any of Alltecs chemicals, and if so then what do you use and how do you rate them ????    Thanks, Geoff

Ultimate master is great
& so is there fabric pre-wash for upholstery

What I like about it is it is safe on most carpets and fabrics.

Not sure how it self neutralises or what happens if you use a strong pre spray.

But its seems to self neutralises on the tests I have done.

I use the liquid in the TM, and powder in the portable. The powder smells lovely  ;)
Its all i have ever used and I have had no problems at all.

Thanks guys, I think i'll be ordering some. Is there an odour neutralizer that you can put in the tank with this stuff ? I normally give free anti bacterial deodouriser for more than 1 area cleaned. I`m currently using Craftex low ph fibrecare which you can mix with their mint fresh ( which is hospital grade anti - bac mixed at the right ratio and cheap to do! )

Their Odourclear is effective but be careful how much you put in the solution. I have found that 25-50% of the recommended amount is sufficient. Dont get any neat solution on your hands or everything you eat for 2 or 3 days will taste of bubblegum! They used to get people on the stand to put some on their finger. You could follow them for miles just by the smell.

I have a sample of the odour clear. I used to work for an IDIOT with a large CC company and we used Quadralene odour fresh.... I swear its the same stuff, same colour, same smell and a sticky feel. Paul can I ring tomorrow, hectic at home tonight, wife who is ill and kids rining riot!!!  ;D :o

Steve
the liqiud is formulated for Tms & the powder for portables, it would not be cost effective to use the liqiud in portables.

I have used ultimaqte master since day one of cleaning carpets and must say its very good stuff! I use other chemicals aswell but I like the good old Um !!  The Odour clear has a fruity smell to it! as for the cotton pre wash for upholstery I think they have stopped making it .

there advanced spot remover is great for getting shoe polish out, paint etc. and there solvent spotter is great for eliminating excess foam, when a client has put vanish or 9001 or white wizard on there carpet, it completely disolves the foaming effect, just apply it to the area & leave it. also i've had success with there red wine stain remover, it works a treat, never had to use heat transfer using it..

Hi Tony, I don`t use the quadralene, the company I used to work for used to use it. Not sure where it was from, sorry

Ultimate Master is a very good powder, no doubt about that, but I have found since changing over mostly to microsplitters and m power thus using a fresh water rinse only, pumps are just going on and on. When I was using mostly powders six months would be considered a very long life for any pump.
I do suspect powders of any kind shorten pump life.

My last pump packed in after 14 months, but due to brush failiure not the head ( was lazy and didn`t change them at recommended service interval ). Pump heads will give up with powders if they`re not mixed properly. You gotta make sure that all the powder has dissovled other wise it will go grit like which in turn wears out the pumps seals. I mix my powder in a bucket of hand hot water then drop it in the tank

I have micro splitters from craftex, solutions and one step and i dont rate them compared to chemspec, prochem or altec ! you have to do a lot more work with rthem to get the reults that you would get from conventional chemicals like the ones Ive mentioned !

i've used u/m at 65, and it works well, you got to remember when the solution goes through the system to the jets, it will have dropped abit in heat. i've spoken to alltec about this & they more or less said that a couple of degrees here or there would'nt make much difference, but it is designed to work at the specified temp. regards char........
