the champ is the housing - if I remember right ionics use a Filmtec XLE membrane (someone may clarify this) which is a good membrane but the Desal is def a better membrane.  Just checked a customers static ro was working ok today - he's got 70psi pressure, water coming out at 000ppm at approx 3.5ltrs/min on 50% recovery.

Nice.

Hi Everyone,

I was at the Cleaning Show yesterday and it was fantastic and I personally feel there was more on offer there to window cleaners and businesses than there was at Windex (my thoughts).

I would recommend anyone who can go, to go up and take a look around.

There is also a German firm and an American firm both promoting there WFP equipment at the show and this could create good competition within the UK market, because some of their equipment is cheaper than there UK counterparts (ie 600lt van system £1,600 and RO on demand trolley system produces 3.4lts water a minuet £2,400.00).

I also bumped into a couple of guys from this forum, you know who you are…. It was great to meet you all.

Just got back and was actually very dissapointed, With WFP being the way forward i thought the trade turnout was extremely poor. My opinion only.

I too went today and was disapointed also , we got there around 12 and left at 3 that was it for me , i did pick up some more cloths that i wanted and some leather cleaner all at a reduced price, I did like the look of the rectangular vikan brush with fan jets in on the window cleaning w/house stand but they were not selling them there they said they were on their web site but alas they are not, I think I'll phone them, Also a bit disapionted I didnt get to see any CIU members not for the lack of looking anyway nor did i get to catch up with gaz so will have to send him some money for his brush's

I went today and thought it was a pretty poor show for window cleaners, I did see the American WFP guys and thought it looked a good trolley system for me later in the year.
Also saw the German company they had a nice take apart pole seemed nice and light.
Shame no one was doing any real demos like the guy outside with the big cranes and forklifts. I saw the new Ionics Pro 10 but not much good just looking at it on a stand really would have been nice to see it in action.

I would like to thank all the guys I met at the NEC for making my/our visit a lot more enjoyable:

In no particular order:

DA Services
David St Ives (and his lovely wife)
Brett
Shiner
Terry Burrows (who didn't thump me)
Pro Pole
Macc (whose actually a nice guy for a Cockney)
Gaz H2O and his 'lurker' friend.

I'd also like to thank Ian_Giles for getting bladdered, falling asleep while I was talking to him; then snoring for half the night.

It's seperate rooms for us next time.

Well I have just got back.

Not done to bad really only now that I have stopped and i'm sat on my sofa my legs and feet ache, and I have only gone and caught blinking flu amd i'm loosing my voice.

Personally I had a cracking time at the show and I thoroughly enjoyed meeting so many people, even a few off here and was nice to meet you too Terry.

Did they not tell you about the roadshows? When I asked about seeing it action they invited me to come along to one of the many roadshows they're doing around the country, and I definately will go!
