Title: set up prices-any opinions?

I am sourcing parts for my new van and have the following basket with cleaningspot:

Shurflo Pump, Varistream and strainer package: £144.00

Tank valve 1": £14.99

Set of 2 heavy duty metal brackets: (400L Flat Tank) £80.00
 
400L flat tank: £155.00

Deionization polishing Resin Vessel complete: 25L Vessel: £87.00

Subtotal: £480.99
 
VAT:  £84.18

Total:  £565.17

I need to get the tank installed and I will fit the rest of the stuff. I need a battery and split relay fitting...no problems with this...and a hose reel set up from Gardiners...apart from that, this all seems what I need...seems a decent price?
What do you think?

Do you really need a split charge relay ?

The prices look good especially the pump /varistream package

My thoughts exactly Dave , about the pump package , i just paid £105 all in for my varistream alone !  :o

 Not complaining though , as i said good bit of kit !

 Steve , sounds like you got the set up right , i cant think of any thing else .

 Incidentally , i am thinking the same about split charge relay , i have had one in my kitchen drawer for 18 months , cant be arsed to fit it , more so now i have the V2 , i have just run 2 full days work from a naff battery that only lasted 3 hours tops with my old by pass valve .

well the times I forgot to put my deep cycle battery on charge overnight and had to get up at dark o`clock to put the charger on for a couple of hours made me think it would be worthwhile to have it on permanent charge...my garage charges £35.00 to fit it up.
Just getting the tank in correctly is the main thing...the rest is a piece of cake.
I used a Gardiners hose reel outside the van yesterday and it was surprisingly good but i`m not sure whether to fix the hose reel in place like I am used to... ???

Oh well...all in a days work. ;)

From the photo (previous posts) your old van looked good. What sort of van is this one and what will be the advantages?

main advantage is 100,000 less miles on the clock.. ;D... and more room to stow my carpet cleaning equipment....
