Hi there people what another lovely day it is.
The picture below is the front of a house i clean in Saltash Cornwall just wondered what other people would charge for it.
The back is the same as the front. Cleaned on a 4 weekly cycle.
I’ve been cleaning this place for 5 years now and i used to charge £4.00 front and back :o.
Now I’m charging £7.00 slowly getting the price up >:(
Under my current pricing scheme i charge £1 a window, so i consider each of the big panes a window 16 panes = £16
And i would charge £1 for the doors, 2 doors = £2
Total £18 which i think is a bit on the high side so i charge 50p a window which the whole house comes to £10. I’ve quoted a few of these at £10 and did not get a single one.
Today i quoted 2 of them instead of trying £10 i tried my minimum price £8 and i got them both.
Where in the country are you and what would you charge?

We would charge a tenner as that is our min price

They look like £8.00 houses to me
If it were a posher estate then maybe go for £10.00
I know guys who are doing similar for £4.00 so i just leave them to it and go somewhere else

I got a few houses like that.
I charge £12 at least, Some more than £12 but I from the south.
-
i would say nine pounds and then if they said thats too much i would do it for 8 but no less.
-
£8 sounds about right to my in the Midlands for that type of house
-
£8 would do me.
That's a doddle for the money.
-
Up here in Bonnie Scotland ur probably talkin about £5/6 max........
-

1st clean = £15.00
4 weekly clean = £10.00 = £2.50 per week
6 weekly clean = £13.00 = £2.16 per week
-
£8 for me, but would say I'll do the frames as well all in for a tenner.
I know with wfp you do the frames anyway but for a new potential customer it sounds good and they often go for the frames.

£10 monthly / £12.00 bi-monthly. BUCKS. (the county that is)
-
In Basildon Essex £10 would be average, but I know some who would charge £15 and others that would charge £6 and all in the same area.

:o ;D ;D No Rich, Just a good businessman, if I can up my price by a couple of pounds offering a service that I do and complete, then does that make me a con-man?? or a good businessman :D ;)

i wouldnt do it for less than £12 .

Stuart:
I wouldn't touch it at less than £10, but that's my minimum price. To sweeten the pill, you could offer to include the cladding. Once it's clean it only needs a sweep over every time to keep it looking good - takes about 30-40 seconds.
I always include the guttering on conservatories - again once it's clean it only takes seconds to wash over, and makes all the difference.
Always stress that these bits are included when you quote - the customers should be well impressed ;)
Cheers,
Ian

I'd say £8.00 is ok, but you aren't going to be driving a 5 series beamer anytime soon with prices like that...Mondeo man maybe?
Tenner a clean? Well a bit better, and around here you would stand a good chance of getting that...
£12.00 per clean?
Well you might get up to a 3 series beamer on that ;)
If you could get £15.00 then you would be on very good money indeed, but you wouldn't stand a snowballs of getting that around here.
What would I charge?
I'd charge a tenner, great money if you can get a string of them, but I prefer drive betweens and bigger accounts, so I use accounts like this as fillers.
I do have a few at £8.00 but any future ones of this kind of size will be going up to a tenner.
I do some on one estate where several are at the £8.00 mark, maybe not quite the same as the house in the picture, but I think a similar amount of work, in a few months there will be a load of new people in these houses (army) and the whole lot will be going up to a tenner.

£8 here in gloucester, dont think i would get much more than that around here
-
£10 here in Norfolk

Stu
I would class that as 5 1/2 windows at the front.
What does everyone else class it has
-
£8 if it is surrounded by others or if in a street but if it was on its own somewhere ( and a few of my houses are totally isolated ) I could get £10 or even £12 for something like this.

8 windows
1 door

5 1/2 ??

I would class that as 5 1/2 windows at the front.
What does everyone else class it has
6 windows.
2 panes per "window" I always call it.
2 1/2 at the top.
2 on the bottom.
1 1/2 for the door = 6.

I counted 1 for the door,

The price would mainly be dictated to by the type of house it is.
It is a very simple house and would be straightforward to do, (max 10min) I would not want to charge more than £8 per clean as it is not a 'grand' house.
Personally I would only take this job on if I had a run of them (minimum 3). Otherwise I would charge £12 and hope I didn't get it.
I am in Cornwall and the properties around here go from simple mining cottages to seaside resort mansions with £2million pound price tags. Whichever area I was in though this house would get the same price.
