All the windows have render and paint splatted on the glass, you've seen the windows now how much to take the paint off? Mates rates
-
£15 for house and £10 for conservatory every 4 weeks....so £25 is my answer.
Not sure how you would do the balcony windows...is that glass in front of the doors??
If so, has to be done from inside which is easy enough and no extra on the price but have to arrange cleaning time with owner.
-
The glass is on balcany i always just give it a good rinse :)

£35-£40

Hi
So what do you charge for that house ?
Only asking cos you say that you give the balcony glass a good rinse
Andy :D
-
that house is no more than 30 minutes to do a really thorough job...with WFP that is.
-
£30 deffo
-
£1 a minute? ???
-
£1 a minute? ???
£1 a minute is quite possible on some of my jobs too Rog - the top 5% - 10%. I didn't plan it that way. They were quite well priced jobs for traditional cleaning and once I got used to WFP, they just got done more and more quickly. I doubt I could maintain that pace all day though. Would be nice if all or most of my work could be done for that kind of money.
Once you get used to WFP, you will be able to achieve this on some jobs too.
Have you got your system sorted out yet?

regular monthly contract 3o quid 35 to 40 one off
-
around £500 as it would take around 30 mins and where poss i like to earn a grand an hour as im wfp joking aside £25 ish poss try for £30 if i think i could get a way with it
-
£50 , it is wimbourne after all ,not short of a few bob, could easily do it on a 8 weekly turnover
-
£35 - £40
-
£33 every 4 weeks and £45 for the first clean. I'd ask if they want the roof done on a regular basis as well.

I have lived in Wimborne! and had work there, so my price would be... 35 pounds for the house & conservatory

If that was by me I'd be charging between £30 and £40, they only concern being those 2 big windows with the balcony, presume you have to get at those windows by going inside?
I'd have thought (once done regular) that it would be between 30 and 40 minutes tops (WFP)
Rog, the thing is, you price it up as if you are doing it trad, and a tight price on that trad, and bear in mind that the house windows are all leaded, in our area would be the above quoted price, and no way would you get around a house that size in just 30 minutes.
007 says there are 4 other windows on the side, counting the big ones on the front, and the glass balcony's too, at my count thats 23-24 leaded windows for the house, and a similar amount on the conservatory (at least as I would count up)
Those panes above the larger squeegee panes have leaded cross sections in. so that is scrim or microfibre work.
So thats 50 windows (as I would count them).
I wouldn't charge a £1.00 per window, but at 75p per window it comes out at £37.50, so I'd round it off to £40.
With WFP you also have the selling point of washing all the frames down, including the gutters on the conservatory.
So yes, a £1.00 a minute is very achievable on an account like this.
That might sound expensive, but the point is, you've given the customer a quote that would compare very favourably with another window cleaner pricing it up trad.
you will have spend lots of money on expensive equipment, if you charge less than you would trad, then once you take your costs into consideration, at best you'll only be scraping by on what you were before...you will have gained nothing by your investment!

I used to clean it Trad -- 1hr 15mins
i now clean it Wfp---------25 mins every 6 weeks :D

I cannot wait to move down to Bournemouth only another 2-4 weeks hopefully.
I would say between £30-£40.
Have you lived in another town while doing window cleaning, I only say this because from where i'm moving i do a few big houses like this and feel i could have easily got another £5 - £10 on jobs like these. Only by looking at pics like these and looking at other peoples quotes do you realise what you could and should be quoting
-
where are you moving to?
-
maybe we could meet up :)
-
Moving to Bransgore, Prob around Easter.
Initially I was gonna use Doorknockers for quick results, but decided to advertise for some students / oap's maybe to go doorknocking for me they get good beer money and I don't have to go out every night for a month. Everyone's a winner.
Good idea to meet up though having seen your van and poleman's on here think i might need to tidy the outside of mine up a bit. Soon as i'm down here i will get in contact with you, any ideas to where to canvass?

Hi darren you should not have a problem in bransgore/christchurch my mum lives there and it took 3 months to get a w/c and he comes from b'mouth :o some big houses round there as well. there's a great pub in bransgore/highcliff ;D
-
The Cat and Fiddle , nice pub, nice food. Thinking of staying round that way but if i struggle then i'm only 15mins from half of Bournemouth. Thinking of Lymington as well. Houses like your one pictured should be the norm.
Oh well, better go to work, finished all phone calls
I never seem to get out at 9am on a monday
