Title: Marble ???
Post by: davey c on March 10, 2007, 08:57:25 pm
I know this hasnt anything to do with window cleaning but my mums asked me if i can clean my dads headstone as its filthy in an algai. I wanted to use a marble cleaner but the council wont let us as they say it will kill the grass etc. I was wondering if anyone would have any ideas what to clean it with. I have been told to mix up some bicarbonate of soda with water scrub it all over and rinse with water ??? Dont suppose any one knows if this is correct. Cheers Dave. :D

I would go and clean it whatever the council says; its not their relatives gravestone and Id use whatever I wanted.

If its algae then a caravan cleaner will do the job from Halfords, boiling water probably would too, but thats not poss in a graveyard.

Got a stonemason mate, he rejuvinates them with neat Domestos, swears by it- nothing else works as well. Pour on agitate and rinse off.
