Title: Power Pole for hire or rent
Post by: Rob_Mac on March 10, 2007, 03:02:29 am
Ive got some work for four nights in Enfield - London. Some of it is high level jetting. I have a 24 foot pole but it may not be up to the job.

Looking to hire a 30 foot P.Pole for 2 nights - If anyone is local

Dave

I think it would mean buying an extra two sections (4 and 5) unless he wants to mess around removing the black plastic thingy from the base of his current pole which should be on section 4.
In fact, a better way to go might be to buy section 5 from Omnipole as a base section, remove the black plastic thingy from section 4, then use it as a standard 30 foot pole.  When the job is completed, he could then revert to a 4 section pole using sections 2 - 5.  That way he would have the black plastic thing on section 5.  I understand that either section 1 or section 2 can be used for holding the brush.  Of course this would mean a spare section 1 floating around unused much of the time.  The above should be verified with Omnipole though as it was a while ago I heard this and may remember it wrongly.
Personally, if it is a regular job, I would be inclined to buy another pole - say 36 foot, and use that for the higher work.  I have 24 and 36 foot powerpoles.  The 36 foot isn't used much but it's so handy to have it when I need it.  Ok I know they don't come cheap but best to have the kit there in case it's needed (subject to affordability).
