terry I saw on your website that you are registered with the local police, over the years I have often thought that w/cs could be good for neighbourhood watch groups.
What do I need to know to pursue thus?

in my main state they know me
when i first took over the work ( off a guy who was retiring) i worked it once with him ( thus earned 50% of the round, thus didnt have to pay him so much AND i got to meet a few of the customers )
anyways, when i started to do them on my own, i would walk the next few days, checking out the prices against what they were worth ( a few were underpriced ) and i would put a slip thought the door explaining i had taken over and the price would go up by X amount )
well some busybody kept on following me, in the end she said " who are you, what are you doing looking at houes " , i explained and she said well stop it, so i continued, she asked me to stop once again and grabbed my arm
in the end she called the police ::) ::)
i explained to them, and they said i could just carry on, but it might be a idea to do it in the light ( it was after my working day, as i wasnt going to spend 1 hour of working time when it gets dark early )

There's the perfect argument in favour of signwritten van and uniform. When I go to quote, I always go in my van and wear my uniform - then if I have to wander around someone's house, at least the neighbours can see exactly who I am. If they want to call the police it's they who will look stupid.
