As Marley is quite obviously new to c/c , he is simply doing the right thing and asking advise,
he may well have been misinformed regarding the rug doctor , and indeed the ninja, so he is doing the right thing by asking, surly he does not need comments that are aimed at taking the p*ss.

I know when I first looked into c/c ,naive , indeed I was , and Knowing the difference between different extractors and their capabilaties was frightening, how ever a little research and a vast amount assistance, I managed.  So many tks to those who helped,
it may be obvious to seasoned c/c , but not to a newbie, help them , dont dishearten them.

Good luck Marley, and I suggest any number of other machines may well fit your bill.

Geoff
Ps  Ninja over rugdoctor

As Geof says, people have to start somewhere and there is a lot of c**p advice out there. I have a customer who has just started and unfortunately went to a very large janitorial supplier in Newcastle and was sold a Numatic as the best carpet cleaning machine available. He was gutted when he realised.

Hi Marly

I'm going into the business this year too and the machine I'm going to be seriously checking out is the Mytee Speedster.

It all depends on how much they are! I mean, the Rug Dr he's seen could be £40 and the Ninja £1000!

If the Rug Dr was very cheap it'd probably be OK to test the business out, for a month or two. Once Marly11 was satisfied that he liked CCing then he could buy something more expensive, such as a ninja.

I'd suggest pulling all the Rug Dr stickers off though, before going out on the road.

To give you an approx idea, I think the mytee is running in around £2200 now.  I paid slightly less, as I bought other equipment at the same time... ;)

I have not used a rug doctor or ninja so I cannot comment on the performance, However, I am more than happy with my mytee.  The machine is more than adequate, and will do me until I am able to afford the upgrade to a truckmount ;D

As Art has already said, have a word with Matt Flewitt at cleansmart, very sound bloke, and will give you good advice as he is an independant trader.

Hope this helps
Paul

look for an old one with knackered motors and broken pump,
then buy two new motors for a couple of hundred quid and a pump for £250,
BINGO,,, new machine ;D ;D
