I too have a 300 gpd system but when the temperature was dropping below 4 degrees C there wasn't a big enough window in the day to filter water so I have purchased a Merlin. Still in the process of getting it setup but hopefully it will produce a larger quantity of water quicker. The trade off is that the TDS at the output from the Merlin is about 18 ppm where as my 300 gpd RO-Man filter was producing water with a TDS of 3 ppm. I'll be using a bit more resin but you can't have it all!

Busted, how long did your pump last?
-
the pump lasted about 6 months but i think it may of had something to do with the big freeze we had i ve tried to get another pump from cleantech and cleaningspot but all out of stock what would be the best pump to get
-
Only asking because if it cost about seventy pounds I was told that they don't like being run continuously and it would burn out. If it's on day and night then your looking at a £200 pump. Have you had a look at Gardiner Poles? They are pretty helpfull and seem to list everything.

yes i ve had a look and still hunting round between the list of jobs the other half has left me as she is working today
thanks busted

Busted.
Have you changed the filter on your RO? They need changing every 4-6 months, if you have not they could be clogged up slowing production rate. Also do you back flush once a week for 10 mins?

I've got the 300gpd pumped RO-man. After 18months the pump packed up ( it was the one in the metal box) RO-man told me they were only guaranteed for 6 months, and advised me to buy their new bigger pump (about £75 from memory) It's preset at a constant 75psi regardless of input pressure and I get the same production rate regardless of temperature, mains pressure etc. So far working fine - I need to make about 7-800lt/day for two of us. Takes about 12 - 14 hours. Input TDS 230-260 output 003
Cheers,
Ian
