Good Morning all,
I was wondering if you could give me your thoughts on approaching new customers, domestic and commercial. I have the contact details for a number of letting agents, estate agents and developers in London. I would like your opinion on whether I should make initial contact by phone, post, email or in person? Your thoughts on buying marketing lists would be appreciated as well. Have a good day!
Kind regards
Marly ;D :) ;)

hi there
well the thought and opinion would be,
its a good idea!!!!
now look, you must start to plan the fundamentals of your business,
marketing, sales, customer visits, the service you are going to provide.
i would be intereested to know your background prior to coming into this industry.
asking sweeping questions such as
how do i price?
and
how do i get new customers ?
generally doesnt attract the response that yu are looking for.
asking a focussed and targetted question will get a good answer.
what you have to remember is that most people havce worked extrememly hard to build their business, and whilst not willing to help, some maybe reluctant to openly divulge the secrets to their success.
in answer to your question
phone,post, email or in person
ALL OF THE ABOVE,
and a lot of it
West London is awash with service providers, work out what your USP is
why should jo bloggs estate agent give you their business, inastead of the next cleaning company.
then start selling your serice.
regards
martin

Hello there Martin
my background is Recruitment and training. I have been involved in the Cleaning industry for over a year but due to my job, running another company, and studies have neglected my cleaning company. After conducting market research this year, I feel that this is where my heart is and I have the skills and determination to succeed in the cleaning industry. There is a lot of competion in my area but from the research I have conducted, I have several usp's and a winning attitude. I know it will not be easy but I am a winner. As for people not wanting to divulge their information, I can understand where they are comming from especially the way I asked. Thank you for your thoughts and opinion I look forward to communicating with you in the very near future.
Regards
M ;)

Hi Marly,
Due to your background I would imagine you are in good stead for what seems to be a minefield to get right - getting the right staff to work for you.
Good luck (but you won't need it) ;)
