Title: THE FUTURE OF WFP
Post by: poleman on February 26, 2007, 05:28:08 pm
A system that dries the windows? No more wondering if you've left lines of dribbles down the pane? (WFP on a par with trad)

Do you think this is the future!

Think again because its here now! The Amazing Pro-10 that leaves windows dry, will be on show at the NEC Cleaning Show, if anyone is going feed back would be great  :)

Like I said on (another forum) I'll believe it when I see it.

Mind you, I'd love to be able to believe it ;D

without sounds arguementative ( unlike me i know  ;) )

but thats the point, WFP left to dry does a good job ( normally  ;))

im of the opinion, if it aint broke, dont try and fix it

but please if any1 can give me a reason for it, then great

The internal window wfp was connected to a Carpet cleaning hot water extraction machine, the wf pole acted as a  vacuum pole and at the top of the pole there was a serated rubber squeegie blade and the excess water was hoovered off through the pole.
The machine recirculated the water through a number of filters so that the water would continue to be pure.

It was useful for the very high internal windows that were difficult to access, but I don't see the need for it outside.

The saying goes "if you need to ask how much" then you can't afford it and it being a Ionics product, do you need to ask. :o

I don't think it will take off.

one reason it will be expensive to buy.
and it will take you twice as long to do the job as you are washing them you probably need to go over again to suck the water up.

I don't think I would ever buy a WFP system that also dried the window - Surely it would just make each job take longer!

Hi Terry

I think just let the wfp'rs go their own way and say nothing much.

There's a fortune to be earnt from windows done previously by wfp.

I'm not knocking wfp as I use it also sometimes. I'm just a window cleaner who earns a living by being realistic. I'm all for all w/c's to go over to wfp bar me.

When are you next defending your world record?

Its a good idea but the hair dryer is the appliance which drains most electricity in the shortest amount of time. How many batteries would you go through with this????

Maybe it is a water fed pole with a squeegee on the end ;D back to basics.

The only reason I can see for it would be cosmetic.  I think this product would be hard to sell as too many people are already clued up about WFP.  If it was brought out at the start of WFP then it might have sold.  Mind you, I've been wrong before.

Whatever next, ::) wfp is all about being confident with your work and leaving the windows wet with good results as long as you do your job correct then theres no need to spend thousands on fancy equipment. ;)

I think i'll learn to walk before i run and i would never be able to afford those prices anyway i will wait for jourk to invent the first wfp pole with a hairdryer on the top ;D

The customer will say " i prefere it when my windows were left wet its all ive ever known" :D

Who knows what the future holds for wfp :-\

just a thought if this new ionics machine leaves the windows dry then why will it need pur water , surely if its drying the window ordinary water would be alright or am i missing something.
Title: Re: THE FUTURE OF WFP
Post by: pjulk on February 27, 2007, 05:36:44 pm
It would still need pure water as tap water will leave spots because of the minerals and impurities in the water.

Paul

Post by: trevor perry on February 27, 2007, 06:28:00 pm
this depends on the drying method if the water is vacumed then there wont be any residue to spot , also if it is blown of it shouldnt spot either as my car windscreen doesnt spot after being blown dry in car wash. so would this system work with ordinary water or not . Any other thoughts
Title: Re: THE FUTURE OF WFP
Post by: simon knight on February 27, 2007, 06:39:32 pm

I can't see it being blown as it would just splash onto the other panes that are dry.

As for being sucked off ;D the suction required would be such that the hose (or whatever) would be hard to move around the glass.

You'll be pleased to know that the glass is dried as you go and its just as quick as WFP with all of the benefits. And it does inside windows as well  :o
