Will i encounter any problems with a felt backed carpet, the carpet is beige and the felt is black in colour

I wouldn,t think so paul as long as you dont over wet it.
I,ve done a few felt backs in the last month with no problems.

Can be prone to rippling apparently although I havent experienced it.
Also if its relatively old it may have been stretced in places, so just dont scrub too hard with your wand (not that you need to anyway)
Oh and all the little "fuzzy felt people" are a bugger to vac up ;D ;D ;D

I have known it to ripple and then settle back into shape after a few days.
