nothing like blowing your own trumpet terry , yes ok you may be fastest at cleaning 3 already clean windows at ground level but put on a ladder doing a full day then my 69 year old dad would keep up with you if not beat you ,do you fancy the challenge.

yeah lads whatever - try keeping up with any wfper over a whole day ;)

Other than that I've seen a video of terry in action and he is fast - I have tried the same myself (a commercial block that has 3 standard 48x36 windows (I think they're that size) at waist height - took me 11 seconds so still a few secs behind terry.  The finish wasn't perfect though athough not bad.

Hi Terry, can I ask you a question without appearing cheeky. Everyone aknowledges you as being the best/fastest trad wc and general top bloke. However when it makes more business sence to WFP what exactly is your approach. What I'm asking is , are you a one man band, part of a business, whatever, and does any of this involve WFP?
(I mean without getting into a trad/WFP argument).

Terry

I've always thought modesty to be a vastly overrated virtue anyway.

well i'm going to put terry to the test

i claim to be the slowest window cleaner doing trad

and i challenge terry to see if he can go slower than me at the nec

sorry to blow my own trumpet but i am the slowest!

now that i've been using wfp for the last 2 years i'm possibly slower than i used to be (that's why i use wfp)
i'm super fast now, with wfp that is

anyway back to the challenge
how about it terry?

he's not even soaping the windows at all, the American challenges are nonsense - Terry is right, I've yet to see one that comes close to the 'turbo', I'm over 2 seconds slower and I would be regarded as lightning fast.

well ;D yes the guy is slow, and no we do not use wfp and no need for them,I would not use them any way,I am concentrating on others projects and have been for some time ;D give you some idea of speed on the windows,

1,you have to clean each window around 2,50 or less seconds and move to the next window :o
2,clean all 3 in same manor :o
3,last but not least wipe the window sill with blade :o
this is what the Americans dont have or do,
Guinness World Records rules are the ones the Americans dont abide buy ::)

I very much look forward to seeing you all I will gladly show you how and how fast it really is,and yes I can blow my own trumpet I have been doing this for many years, trust me see me at NEC ;D

ITS ONLY WHEN YOU TRY THIS YOU WILL KNOW HOW HARD THIS CHALLANGE IS.

for all 3 windows and wiping the sill is just 9.24 seconds

BUY THE WAY I AM NOT IN THE WINDOW CLEANING CONTEST

regards

To all ;D Terry

Come on boys surely it is quality that matters.
When we come home we are safe in the knowlede that we have done a great job.
Hate getting complaints but you cannot please them all.

JM123 - Looking at cherry pickers what would be a reasonable size to start out with.
Been looking at a 18 metre.
In your opinion would it be better pushing the boat out to try and buy as big as possible as to take on bigger and better work.
Many thanks
Robbie -Harrogate

Hi Robbie

I'm not sure why you are asking me about cherry pickers, the largest I use is a towalong 6m boom.  Its only used for con roofs and helping kittens down out of trees ;D
