Title: Shrunken carpets
Post by: cleanability on February 23, 2007, 08:30:45 pm
Bit confused. I know all about not over wetting etc with Axminters and Wiltons/and the Belgians etc. But out of interest which of these are more likely to return to their former condition if they shrink?
Also, are there many 50/50 wool mixes? I could be wrong but I'm sure I cleaned a 50/50 wool mix Axminster which shrank and then expanded back to its original size.

you'll be nackered on the width, but you can get it back usually on the length, i've seen them go, its terrifying.

Apart from the rest go careful with Brintons bell twist on hard concrete floors where incorrect gripper used had 3 problems with these over 3 years all restretched but still stomach churning if of a mild disposition       simon
