Title: water pump
Post by: giftedk on February 23, 2007, 11:25:47 am
I need to transfer my pure water from my static tank in the garden, to my tank in the van. Transfered 500 litres the other day by just letting gravity do the work, but it took 3 hrs.
I need a pump too transfer it quicker and that will also allow me to pump it out the tank on van and out  my pole.
Am not sure what pump i need, but some one said  a 12 v with the  highest possible litre output per hour.
Anyone help ?

Try a simple 240v submersible pump. These are available from most suppliers or even DIY shops.

Get a standard submersible pump from B&Q as alex has said then go to an aquatic shop and get some 1" hose.

You will put those 500 ltrs in the van in about 5 minutes.

I would not bother with a 12 v as they are much slower than a 240v unless you want one in the van to fill a trolley.
