It is with great saddness that i have to tell people that unfortunately peter passed away recently. His passion and enthusiasm for carpet cleaning really opened my eyes to what a great proffession carpet cleaning can be. He always wanted to do the best possible job with the best eqiupment and was for ever testing this or that to get the best results. Some people found petes northern straight forwardness a bit much, with him everything was black or white, good or bad but for me that was his greatest attribute. As a good colleague but especially as a special friend he will be sadly missed.

My thoughts are with Peter's Friends and Family at this sad time.

Likewise, best wishes to his family. Maybe those who know his family can help out in some way. Best, Dave.

I came to like and respect Pete a great deal. He was a real asset to this industry and like Steve says, you couldn't fail to pick up on his enthusiam and dedication.
You'll be sadly missed Pete.

I was deeply saddened to here this news last night.
In his short few months in our industry, as others have said already, Peter brought with him an enthusiasm that was infectious and a joy to behold. Not only that, he also started to give back to our industry before he had the opportunity to take much from it! His involvement and efforts when working with Woodbridge Commercial to promote a"Sunny Day Out" type of open day being probably his single most memorable public achievement.
Our world is now a lonlier place.
My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.
God Bless Peter.

I am deeply sad to here about Peters Death.
I admired his enthusiasim and now regret not attending the Woodbridge Event.
Over the past few weeks I have been wondering where he was, I was not expecting such news.

I had the pleasure of a telephone conversation to Peter, with regard to his Speedster machine, which he later sold, and I learned alot from him with regards to different portables that he had tried out.
I was amazed at how much he knew about this industry in the short space of time that he was involved.
I found him to be very informative, direct and to speak his mind, which I liked.
He will indeed be missed here.
Nigel.

Oh, how terrible this news comes to me, on this side of the Pond.
I also feel about Peter reed the same as all of you do. Never having met the Gent in person, his e-mails of communication were always wonderful. he was certainly a man of true Spirit and Honor.
I will miss my good Friend.
The very, very best to his family and friends;

I met Peter and his partner at Woodbridge last year; I just had to go and put a face to the name of the man who had written me so many helpful emails.
I asked him many questions, secure in the knowledge that I would get a full and frank answer. and he never failed with a follow-up email to ask how I got on and if I needed any further assistance.
If anything is being organised please keep us posted.
RIP, Peter

I never knew Peter personally, but know he will be sorely missed most especially by his family and friends.
I was shocked to hear this today and have been thinking about him today as i know many of you have been.
It's always a very sad thing when death takes another fellow human and it seems so unatural.

Last night I cam across some e-mails Peter and myself had swapped when I started looking for a new machine. His offer to help was both a genuine and well meant.
I wondered why Pete had been quiet and had thought to email or call.
I like many find myself saddened at the news.
Condolonces to his family and friends

I only met Peter once at the open day at Woodbridge’s but like many here I have shared many e-mails with him alone with telephone conversations.
He will be sadly missed by many here on the board, my thought are with his family.

I was very sorry to hear this news.
My deepest condolences go to his family, a very sad loss.
For those of you who may not recognise the name, peter posted under the name of " carpetclean" , with a picture of his van on his profile.
In the 12 months from Jan 2006 to Jan 2007 Peter made a total of 803 postings on this site. He was always helpful and full of advise and enthusiasm for the carpet cleaning industry.
rest in peace peter.
regards
Chris

I never did meet Peter but I spoke to him many times on the telephone when I purchased some equipment from him.
My deepest sympathy goes to his Family
-
Hi all,
Peter helped me out with advice and equipment since I started Techniclean. He was a great man and a great friend to me, although, I never met him face to face Pete was an absolute inspiration to me and a inspiration to this forum. As a painter and decorator Pete had the foresight to understand this industry and did the job to the max first time every time.
God love his Family and Pete is sadly missed,
From Adam.

Haven't been on here for a while, can't believe what I'm reading. Pete was a lovely guy, VERY enthusiastic about his work. Salt of the earth. Heart of gold. He doesn't live that far from me. Anyone know what happened?
