Title: Recoil 3 - Distributor + info please
Post by: Chris R on August 09, 2004, 02:48:50 am
Hi again,
Who is the Uk distributor for the recoil 3HP please?

Also can you tell me, if you only run 2 of the vacs and the pump (not the booster) would it run on one power cable? (could be useful on awkward jobs with limited power points).
Does one power lead run the vacs (x3) and the other just the pump, if so, will some form of water heater not work off the same cable?

Thanks
Chris

Chris,

The machine is wired so that one power cable feeds a main motor and the pump, the other feeding the other main motor plus the booster.

This approach is to more evenly distribute the current draw on each cable. Remember that the demands of the pump far exceeds those of a Surflow or Flowjet. Any viable water heater would require a separate feed.

John.

PS. The Recoil distributorship is a separated company, run by Alan's' son, Robert but the number given by Derek will reach him.

Chris,

I thought I had answered that one - with a negative.

Two or three power cords are really not a problem - I've been working that way for years. BTW, I have yet to trip a CB with the Recoil + Steamate.

Chris,
Why bother buying from the states when you can buy UK machinery with US motors in it (you can only draw 13amps from a 13 amp supply) and this draws almost 13 amps ! think about it. If you want more power then truckmouts the ony way.
