OK
So no one cleans em, looks like the market is wide open ;D ;D

arent most of them machine washable ?
i know my missus does hers in the machine

My other business is blinds and I can promise you they are not all machine washable.
Manufactures tell you to lay blind on a flat surface and wash with soapy water.
Do not drape over washing line to dry.
Do not hang in direct sunlight to dry.
Not sure you will get your prices for blind Mark as I could replace them for what you would want to clean them.

Hi Mark
Blind cleaning is a massive untapped market in this country,I looked into this a while back and even considered getting an ultrasonic cleaner(really is the only way to clean them IMO ) to do them with as they do in the States where it is very big business.
Company's I contacted with a view to cleaning were very luke warm on the subject and did not consider it a cost worth paying. ::)
Still I think it's something to keep a look out for in the future though ;)

Ok
How about this then?
Saw it a couple of years ago, now I am starting to think about it.

Looks of interest,
but how much is the franchise and associated costs,do they supply some of the business through contracts and are they members of the BFA .
Thats what I would ask just for starters but certainly worth investigating.
Let us know how you get on. ;)

Hi
Not thinking of the franchise,
having seen the machine "in the flesh" a couple of years ago, it seems a very simple machine.
basically a tank at the base to hold solution, a pump feeding a couple of jets and the plastic cover.
The cleaning solution which I imagine is a neutral detergent which just runs down the blinds cleaning them.

PS Mr Bolton, could you get your spanners out an build me one?? ;D ;D ;D ;D
