Title: Nemesis Power
Post by: davep on February 19, 2007, 12:20:41 pm
Do you Nemesis users use it for the power, or because its green?  Used it today for the first time and wasn't blown away by it  :P

I use it for both its power and green credentials, and find it very good, like all splitters, the agitation part of the pie is essential

Dave

I used m/s a few years ago and just used a brush and wasn’t impressed either .

but once I switched to mechanical agitation the results were 20x better

I thought Nemesis wasn't a ms?  Do you use it with a pre spray or just on its own with the water rinse, also do you have any temerature in the water used?

The way i use it is this, pre vac thoroughly, spray a good amount of nemis down, enough to moisten the carpet, agitate, i use a enviro dry machine, then extract using clean water,Ive never had any props using water at tap temp.

Ta Dave,  do you dilute 100-1?  Also what about spotting stains..

For spotting dilute 20 to 1

Used Nemesis for just the third time today. Seems better than regular ms to me . Also , could be wrong but didn't notice any wet dog smell that  usually occurs with wool carpets.

I think I'm right in saying its colloidal with an inactive enzyme as a wetting agent. John Kelly will tell you more.

Comprised solely of plant-based materials, Nemesis products contain alcohols, fatty acids, esters, waxes, saponifiers, chelators, enzymes and other fractions from soy, corn, palm kernel, peanut, walnut, safflower, sunflower, Canola and cotton seed. The surfactants created consist of long-chain molecules; one end likes water, and is called hydrophilic, the other end likes oil and dislikes water, and is called hydrophobic. When these surfactants are placed in water, the hydrophobic ends attract each other, and repel water, and arrange themselves into a spherical structure with the hydrophobic ends inside the sphere at its nucleus, and the hydrophilic ends on the outer surface of the sphere. This sphere is called a micelle.

The hydrophobic ends begin to orientate themselves on the surface of the soil lifting it from the cleaning surface to become part of a micelle, thus cleaning the surface. When combined with water, micelles break water’s surface tension resulting in “super wet” water. That same action allows the micelles to penetrate organic soils and to hold them in liquid suspension. In effect, the micelle cleaning action is unique and can only be related to the effect of an atomic explosion where random interaction of the particles loosens the soil. Micelles enable us to clean soils without damaging the cleaning surface.

Our leading formulation, Nemesis Aqueous Cleaner, is the most versatile and powerful surfactant system in the industry today. Nemesis Aqueous Cleaner, the core ingredient in many Nemesis products, is so powerful that crude oil will be completely surrounded and lifted from the cleaning surface without causing an emulsion or damage to the cleaning surface.

The technology used for cleaning chemistries derived from Nemesis are colloidal solutions comprised of plant-based, non-ionic surfactants that create unique hydrocarbon release agents that can tolerate tremendous soil loads. Powerful micelle cleaning action causes long chain hydrocarbon soils such as fats, greases, oils, lipids, proteins and sugars to virtually repel from the cleaning surface so that soils can be rinsed away with water.

Nemesis products offer an eco-friendly alternative that works. Some cleaners still prefer to use traditional cleaning chemicals and we will continue to supply a range of excellent products from Craftex, Prochem & Chemspec. However, for those cleaners who are worried about health issues through handling chemicals every day, Nemesis could be the answer. It can also offer those customers, who request green products, an exceptional clean whilst being totally safe and environmentally friendly.

A lot of large corporations are now specifying green products in their supply chain and if quoting for commercial contracts Nemesis could give you the edge over competition.

The Nemesis Upholstery & Carpet Cleaning formula can be used as a pre-spray prior to extraction at up to 100:1 dilution, as a spotter at 20:1 and for bonnet buffing at 100:1.

have not tested m power yet not had any samples to do so.

davep like most things don't look for one thing to answer all your situations. it far better to have a selection of products that you can select from for the job at hand. i carry about six different MS and detergents

Thank you for those kind words Paul,  ;)and yes I do like using my Oreck to rub things with.
As the man say’s he gave me the said chemical to have a go with and like him I see no advantage over any of the other M/S on the market. Since day one of the M/S intervention I have been using them on most but not all carpets I come into contact with. As been mentioned in earlier posts the agitation is the secret to its success what I have found by using an oreck compared to a Sebo brush are the results are a lot better, it could have a lot to do with the extra weight the oreck has over the sebo duo coupled with the oscillating action the oreck has. But for using Nemesis I’m afraid the jury is still out on that one scented or unscented the answer is still the same. May be I just a plain old One Step kind of guy?

is this not this product about how it made and that it has a hygiene element built in? if it results look as good as other ms then it is cleaning to a higher level its that you can see it?

First job this morning at sink filling sprayer but could not get in for big pan that was soaking in the sink.Customer told me she was just going to through it out as she could not remove curry stains on side of pan and she had used everything.

Drop of nemesis added water and put on to boil hey presto stains gone.It can also be used as a pan cleaner but tell the missus 8)

I see Steve so the missing element I’ve not got to get this here Nemesis to work is a PAN.
Well Mossy never told me I needed a pan when he gave me the samples.
So tell me Steve what is the best size pan to us when dealing with lounge carpets????
Looks like I’ll be needing a bigger van if only to carry different size pots and pans!

Paul must have kept the pans for himself.  :)
Colloids work very well on carbon based soils, this is why they are used extensively in the oil spill remediation field. This is probably why they cleaned the said pan so easily.

I remember someone jokingly saying "If it's so good, why aren't we all washing our clothes in it?". I reckon I might actually give it a try,.. if it works on curry it could be very handy!!

Sorry got the info wrong

This new product is diluted 150-1 for any "new" carpets and upholstery which haven't been cleaned before.
It is used at 300-1 dilution for cleaning carpets and upholstery which have been cleaned before, regardless of what they were cleaned with.
