Title: Q about filters on RO Man
Post by: Russell Macdonald on February 18, 2007, 03:04:45 pm
Hi.

Ive a 300gpd RO from Gardiners. Ordered new filters which i'm changing now. First & second filters fine, came to change last one but the filter is not the same. The one in question has this on RO:

RO MAN
HMA CBR2
max life 16666 or 6 months

Existing filter looks like coconut carbon block filter with mesh round it, the filter i have been sent is Granular Activated Carbon, the filter is blue plastic with beads in it, not at all like existing filter.  ???

Is this right or have i been sent wrong filter by mistake?

Any advise appriciated.

The filter you have is a perfectly acceptable replacement filter. The original one supplied with RO-Man systems is actually a heavy metal filter which you strictly speaking do not need for a window cleaning RO system.

You can buy an exact replacement filter from RO-Man for this but it does cost £15.
