Is that the new shape scudo or the one that's just finishing? (if you get my drift)

Hi
before you buy check the payload
on the actual van as some have different carrying weights
I was pulled in and weight tested this morning
all ok but if i had not done my home work i would have been in the s..t
it only costs £5 to have a van weighed at the local weigh station so i now only go out with 700 ltrs

If you type in new shape fiat scudo into google you should come up with italiaspeed: fiat scudo which says the new one is available as of Jan 07.
I'd check!!!!

I will cheers.

I have an 02 plate Dispatch (same as Scudo) fitted with a 650 tank -it has the smaller payload of 815 kgs. With a two man team I never fill it more than 3/4 full else it would be over weight. On a one man team you could be very close with a full tank.
There are generally bigger payload versions (they have uprated suspension springs/brakes/etc.
Go for the best payload version available.
They are great little workhorses IMO

Thats a nice little van, just checked the payload of the scudo im looking at its 925kg. So if i put a 650 system in and then put a trolley in as well 50ltr, would that weight be fine?
-
You need to add in the weight of the tank, 80ltrs fuel, you + passenger/s, plus everything else in the back, roofbars, ladders if any, pole holders + poles, that cute little flag on the aerial . . .
-
1.9d 815kg payload. 2.0jtd 925kg payload so you can have a 650 tank but i dont ever fill mine up to the top
-
Dave
Its probably the old shape scudo you,ll get a deal on.
We run a scudo 2.0 jtd 925 kg, with 650 litre tank, but i have uprated the suspension with 1200 kg rated springs. The scudo is a good van but not good weight carrier.
We do,nt fill the tank up fully still. For driveability & fuel economy they are excellent.
The new scudo will be far better with increased load carrying ability, i would look for a good deal on new shape, or other van with better rating for 650 tank.

Gary, i've got the Citroen 2L hdi 900kg payload (don't know how the Fiat gets 25kg more) where do you get the uprated springs?
-
Dave
The springs are from Jones Springs Darlaston West Midlands.
Cost £60 - £65 each plus post.
Just call & give vehicle details, then you get your own mechanic to fit them.
