Hi,
You can get a special product to remove mould from leather, however I have found that a quick once over with some leather cleaner should remove it. Generally its just mould growth on the leathers finish. If it re-occurs after removing it then I would use a mould remover, like the ones you would use on carpets just to kill the bacteria.
And if the mould is a black stain then use a leather stain remover to remove it.
What you have to remember with leather, is that the majority of problems are on the finish of the leather. So normally any problem like a stain, mould, dirt can eb quite easily removed using the correct products.

I would go along with that- you have the right conditions for mould growth and a food source ie the stain/ spill so a good clean to remove the food source should do it. having said that if conditions are left the same reoccurance is likely.

Using just a leather cleaner will not kill the mold spores, you do need a special mold killer for that. Mold will always just clean off but will keep coming back if the spores are not killed.
There are 2 mold killers available for leather. Em Clean which is a spray on product combined with a cleaner and Mold Killer which is a stronger wipe on product.
If the spores are not killed and are left on the leather they will eventually damage the leather. Refinishing will not solve the problem.
Hope this helps

Mold is the American spelling.
This Mold will be on his 3 piece suite tonight!

Mold has become a real problem recently. We are currently dealing with a company who would have had to dump £25,000 of suites if they hadn't found our product as they thought there was nothing you could do. It is very satisfying to be able to resolve such problems for people.
