Title: fully reconditioned rotaries?
Post by: matt jones on February 11, 2007, 06:23:35 pm
Hi, looking at getting a low speed rotary machine to use with super charley pads for the cleaning of the more low profile commercial type jobs.
There is a company who sell fully reconditioned rotary machines on ebay the company is called a3 machines & supplies anyone had any dealings with them? if so what are they like is it worth paying around the £200 pounds mark for a reconditioned machine?
Your comments much appreciated
matt

I know that was what i was thinking but by the time you pay out for super charly pads and a double ringer bucket it soon all adds up i know it is still cheap but dont wanna be spending to much if i can help it unless i get some nice big contracts  :)

Although I know a lot of you use Supper Charley Pads I was wondering if there are other makes just as good.

Chris you say you had a machine of them last year what was the appearance like? did it look quite new? also did you see the appearance of some of there other machines? The reason i ask is i have seen alot of their machines on ebay and they look nearly new i would also want a second hand machine which didn't look to scruffy as i think appearance means alot.

Matt- just a thought, make sure your driveboard has spikes or it won't grip Charlys.

Matt

Nothing in particular mate, personal preference really just as long as it's slower than 200 rpm and heavy enough.
I use the Nilfisk because I have several and spares are not an issue.

Cheers

Chris,
When i sent them a question through ebay they told me the Taski ergodisk slow speed was the best machine they sold priced at £180 + £24 del + plus vat comes complete with driveboard so you would be looking at about £240 all in. But the thing is you can get a brand new Numatic for a little more. Not sure which would be more reliable out of the Taski, Numatic or a Victor?

Matt

Buy a new Numatic. Can't go wrong at that price, always been a helpful company too.

Cheers
