Hi All,
Can anyone tell me what they think would be a good price for this Hotel clean, all outside windows only?

£35.00 per hour so guesstimate 3 hours so £105.00 thats what i would charge thats if your doing it wfp.
Needs to be on a quiet morning or possibly sunday because of the road and passing pedestrians so you could bump your price up here
You will need to cone at least 6 foot of the road off and put pedestrian diversion signs out so they dont cross your path of cleaning thus still giving them a safe place to walk whilst your cleaning
-
Thanks, what how longer pole? 25ft?
-
Id say youll need at least a 35foot
-
£105 is way too cheap!
Andy

That's what I thought! :)

Guys i can only price up on what i would do myself.
if you thinks its too cheap then you have to price accordingly but £35 per hour how much do you guys want to earn?
Also what's the cleaning frequency? one off? monthly? quarterly?
What would you rather do price high and maybe not get the job or price competitively get the job do a good job and probably get new customers by doing so? becasue thats how i do mine and have done so for 4 years.
7 hours a day after travelling @ £35.00 ...£245.00 per day ?
-
Personally I think it might take longer than 3 hours, maybe 4?
Shaun R. :D
-
No way will that take 4 hours not if its wfp.
this job here only takes 3.5 hours with the same amount of windows at the rear as it has from the front what you can see
-
I see what you mean 3 Hours maybe resonable! :)
Shaun R.
-
£65 max - I can't see how you guys can charge that kind of money
Andy scs - too cheap!! you kidn mate?? 90mins tops to do that job
-
i hav got to agree i think there is only 90 minutes work there so would be over the moon at £65.
-
£180 min, 2 hours pole work probably another hour faffing around and setting up and getting round the back.
-
if you can get £100 do it! if you cant dont go for £65 try £75 if you know wat i mean
-
Do you know who's doing it at the moment they look pretty clean to me?
-
If its a straight WFP job, 2 and half hours from pull up to drive away. If I could get £100 for that I would be pleased!
-

no way mate!! - £180!!
I suppose if they're prepared to pay it then why not but I can honestly tell you there's no hope of me being able to charge that kind of money for that kind of job over here, wish I could but know I can't :(
-
:o What variations in price!!!!
What is a 100 quid to a big posh hotel like that?????? Come on guys! £65 max >:(
Put it like this!
Trad window cleaner would have to hire a cherry picker or something like that to do that job! I haven't a clue how much they are to hire but I could imagine it would cost in the region of £80-£120 a day to hire one.
That job in a cherry picker I would guess would take 3 hours? Think of the maneuvering time and cleaning time!
Trad guy might want £30 per hour for his labour?
So that = £120 (max?) for picker, £90 for labour, Fuel costs, equipment wear and tear say £10max (inc fuel)
So that's £220!
Wfp = little hassle on that job. 2-3 hours max.
If you put a price in for £150 it is still a good earner and cheaper for the hotel.
Just my opinion.
-
Thats the one in lynn isnt it ????
-
You wont get a cherry picker for much less than £250.00
-
I see Clear Vision's point, it reminds me of of the £2.50 brigade, wfp costs alot so why devalue its use, yes you dont spend as much time doing the job but thats because you have laid out cash for the latest equipment.
We dont like jobs being done at 2.50 but he has his dole money and dosnt pay for insurance etc so he can say thats a fair price for him to do it at, with this in mind is it not true that wfp is devaluing traditional cleaning. To me while wfp is still not used by EVERY wc you should be taking advantage and pricing as a traditional wc but get it done quicker and safer, and on jobs like this where there is a saving on platforms etc why should the hotel save the costs - did they buy the wfp gear ?
just a thought

Good shout Dave.
-
Dave W after all that I noticed you did not come up with a price!
I said if this job could be done in 2.5 hrs I would be happy with £100. I think thats a fair return for the time and the wfp investment - which for me is small but I could still do that job with my small kit!
Of course people with a large outlay on systems etc to the tune of £15000 - £20000 have to recoup costs which I suppose must amount to £5-£600 a month so they have to charge more.
Charges are relative - to all of us :)
-
plus I reckonned that for me it was a 90min job, £65 for an hour and a half - I think thats fair.
-
Yeah i didnt give a price, when it comes to cleaning windows im about as experienced as my cat. My coments were slightly off topic maybe, sorry. They were just thoughts invoked by the huge diffence in cheapest to most expensive price's suggested, and I wasn't having a go at the cheap end nor the higher.
I always see things from a business point of view and if theres savings made from investment in equipment, then the investor should be the one to profit from it.
