Title: House Cleaning
Post by: scl on July 30, 2004, 03:21:55 am
???I am thinking of starting House Cleaning-  for general house cleaning chores. I do not know what the market rates are? Can somebody help me how do I price my clients I want to know for domestic cleaning i.e House Work, Home Ironing Service, Kitchen Cleaning and Bathroom Cleaning . Also what essential equipment must I have? I have already set up leaflets that I would like to distribute in my local area but am puzzled as to what amount to charge. I need to know before I can make myself a fool charging the wrong prizes.
Help ::) ::)

hi there

doing research myself, at the moment for this line of work, very lucrative

companies charge differnt in difeerent areas,. what i done was look in yellow pages and ring round, in actual fact i got my mother to ring for me, some were a little reluctant to give a price, but with a push they divulged the info. i told her what i wanted to know, and she got the info.....even typed it all up for me and put it on floppy for me.......how cool is my mum!!!!!!!!!!!

some will say they dont do inside windows, they dont do ironing, etc etc.......

as with what to charge, it depends on you, if you are looking ot have girls cleaning for you then you may need to be making a couple of quid per hour on top of the girls ie: 15 girls all doing 10 hours a week equals £300 quid a week (on £2per hour) without you cleaning.

so it depends on if you are cleaning yourself , or you are getting the girls in to do it for you.

hope this helps supreme,

ps: i am matching my competitors prices, wont undercut, there is enough work for everyone:

When we have a team of cleaners performing a full clean on a rental property we charge £12 per hour per cleaner with any carpet cleaning priced seperately.
With domestic cleaning it would only be one cleaner working usually for two hours per job and for this we charge £14 per hour.
Hope this helps ;)
