hey everyone i was just wonderin something, i am set up well for general power washing, i was wondering can i use some of this for window cleaning. also for the pump on a wfp kit could i use one of them caravan pumps or a submersible pump?
thanks
-
yes buy a northen tool telscopic wand 25ft
-
so how would i do it, just spray the window with the power wash or get a brush to fit on the end? would i definetaly need to use pure water or is there another way? where is the cheapest thing to make pure water?
thanks
-
If your going to scrub windows with water you have to use "pure" meaning it has had all the minerals etc taken out of it you cant just use tap water that's why you get runs on the car when you dont rinse it properly.
Cheapest way get your self an ro and a di to polish off don't just use normal water or youll have some very irate custoemrs
-
so i need both? wheres the cheapest place get these, also would i be ok after this just power washing the windows not scrubbing etc, i am not going for domestic, just commercial really
thanks
-
No you cant just power wash it will never work you have to scrub using poles with brushes ..if you just power wash then you'll get dirt every where best thing to do is look at some threads on here to give you an idea on where to start
-
ah right, its just ive got this equipment and was trying to adapt it for commercial window cleaning, what about if i got a brush attatchment on the end of the extending pole for my power wash
-
You would have to much pwer to clean the windows and you have to rinse the glass after you brushed...if you just power washed them you would hit the dirt on the top frames etc and re contaminate the glass
-
what about if i used a submersible pump that can pump upwards to 8 meters, would that do? where can i get a good deal on the the filter part of it?
thanks
-
Best getyting a shurflow or flojet proper water pumping pumps
-
Are you going to power wash the insides as well?
-
I think its best if you have a good look on this forum to give you some ideas of what you need to do i cannot tell you in a couple of posts but if your serious then you need to get the right tools to start with not a pressure washer it will never work
-
submersible pump that can pump upwards to 8 meters
This would not work and doubt it would even last a day before it burnt out.
The pump you need is an on demand pump.
so that if you cut the flow of water the pump will switch off.
A submersible pump does not do this.

it can be done as i do use mine, i turn my presure done to about 100 psi and feed the pump water from a tank that i hav run through a di vessel works fine u can get flow through brushes from jet wash direct
-
does it clean it fine and not just spray it everywhere
-
y would it spray any diff to a wfp, wfp works on a max off 100 psi, u can turn u gear done to less than that , lots of wfp work with flow through brushes , so again no diff, alot of wfp gear is biged up imo , i hav a power pole from northen tools and two tucker poles, the first being peanuts compared to a tucker pole, the diff between them is a tucker runs off a small 100 psi setup the northen pole higher psi fittings but can be turned down for lower pressure ie 100 psi
