Hi guys
Got a call last week to quote on some carpets and while I was there they asked me to have a look at some Tapestries, there not to fussed about the cleaning but are concerned that recently they have started to buckle and crease up on the wall why could they have done this and what can be done to resolve it, nothing has changed in atmosphere in the room and the lights have been on them for over 10 years so why the recent and sudden change in apperance
any advice most welcome
all the best

It could be to do with humidity. The tapestry will absorb moisture from the air over a period of time and may sag under it's own weight, especially if it's heavy.

Tell them to throw it away, why would anyone want that hanging on the wall :D ;D :D ;D :D ;D

Hi Dave that was my first thought but this happened over a just a couple of weeks with no change in envionment, my other thought as they are hung in a very old hotel which has been closed for the season the lights may not have been on and as result it might have been these which have kept them dry just a thought,
Adam Not likely :o as much as I dont like them either there is six in total and worth in the region of £8000 each ::)
any more ideas please ??? ??? or know of any one to contact for advice that's a bit specialised
