Hi Stuart,
Could you please measure the flow rate on your new back pack and let me know what you like and don't like about it?

Are you pleased with it?

I’ve only used it once and must say very impressed.
It had a good and powerful flow on it.
When i used it on one of the jobs in one of my picture posts i only filled it half way and it the water lasted for ten mins. I’m not sure if that is good or bad for a back pack.
The battery comes with its on charger as well.

Cheers and sorry for all the questions.
But does it have a pressure switch on the pump? If you kinked the hose would it stop?
-
On the pic there is a kind of trigger switch thing when you push it the pump starts up and water comes out and when you release it water stops and the pump cuts off.
I think that answered your question ??? :-[

Hi stuart,
Did you manage to measure the flow rate on the backpack?
-
S**t
Sorry mate totally forgot >:(
Ill make it my priority tomorrow morning.
-
Don't worry. No rush. Doubt I will see tomorrow morning as a load of us are heading out on the wild shot in Inverness ;)
-
Right mate the litres per minute are just under 2L which surprised me.
If you add a bit of microbore to the brass fitting and add a control tap then you should be able to get that rate down by only opening the tap half way
First pic of the control tap you could fit to the back pack.
Second pic of the battery and pump.
The back pack only holds 18L.

Thats great stuart.
Many thanks for doing that and taking pictures. ;)
:o That means a full back pack would only last 9mins :o
Did you fit the tap to your one?
P.S How did you measure the flow rate? Through the brush (jets) or straight from the hose?
Matthew

Have you tried it on your back when full?
If so what does it feel like? Workable?
-
I have not fitted the tap yet, that’s a job for next weekend.
I measured the flow straight from the hose, forgot about measuring it from the brush head. Ill go out do it again to see if it makes any difference.
-
I haven’t filled it right up yet but when i used it last week half full it was quit heavy but manageable on my back.
Just re done the Litres per minute thing out of my mini pole which is 2'x2'
It came out at 1.8L per min.
So I’m guessing using an 18ft pole it would come out slower again.
And fitting the tap even slower.

Thanks stuart ;)
Do you know how high it will pump?
Do you think you could work a 30ft pole on it?
