Well get one. For the sake of £40 or so you'll be waiting a long time to transfer water by gravity otherwise.

??? the pump ive got used to fill my 400L tank in 15 mins its that slow?

yes...very slow. I`ve got one off ebay for £30 and it fills my 400L tank in 2-3 minutes.
Just let it sit in your IBC with the electric lead hanging up outside the tank on a hook. When filling van tank, just put your pump hose in the van tank, plug the pump in and watch as the tank in your van is filled in minutes.

Thanks Steve k....... I now see the sense in getting one...... 2-3 mins wow thats quick..
The things is the hose comming from the pump which is in the tank, where will that come out the tank from?

Baz has your tank got the larger cap 'cos it might not drop in without some surgery.

mine had to have a hole cut into the top of the ibc to allow my pump tp go inside, i use standard hose pipe which only pumps 200ltr in 1/2 hr,
so what size of pipe do you use to pump 400ltr in 2-3 mins???????
