hello folks
i'm just getting started as a cc, and this forum has been a god send to me.
but i know that there's no substitute for hands on work, and was wondering if there are any cc's in the north east (newcastle preferably) who would do me the massive favour of letting me spend a day with them to see how the experts do it.
i recently spent a day with john kelly, who was brilliant! and i definately learned alot (the carpet resembled a dalmation when we arrived, but when we left looked like brand new!) :o
i obviously don't want any payment, and will even buy lunch!! ( excluding 3 course meal at posh bistro!)
i know this may be a strange request, but would be great help to me.

Jon, I think it would be better if you set your sights a bit further afield. Asking someone to train he who is going to be a competitor is unlikely to be fruitful. Maybe down to Yorkshire or Scotland would be more realistic.

look for a diffrent career unless you have money to keep you going through
the long lonley months jan /feb /march
and the price of advertising strips you to the skin
its a hard game has cost me. 2 vans in 8 months first one , collapsed!
3000 for another, 2nd machine , as the first did not have the power! no not phil the power!
what does my bank account look like now? has anybody got a spare tenner they could lend me . or give me some work . hope this helps mate.

Tony, why did you pay 3k for a van when you could have leased a new one for 180 quid a month, fully tax deductable. You would still have the 3k to live on until you start earning some real money.
I wouldn't worry about Jon, he's a business man with his head screwed on and has other concerns.

morning john . did not want to go back into debt . are you saying that buying the 2nd van outright , i cannot claim it back ?

No, I know you can claim it back, just leasing is a good way of spreading the load and having a new van does wonders for the image and no worries (usually) about breakdowns and repairs.

I would also like to join someone for a days hands on experience to pick up some tips.. Im in Liverpool so maybe someone around Chester/North Wales?
